Offline viewing on iPhone?

Is it planned to provide the content for members also to be viewed without an active internet connection?

I want to view the tutorials while commuting from/to work and don’t have a reliable internet connection at that time…

Cheers,
Gerhard

An iOS app is in the works. I’ll definitely submit offline viewing as a feature request - I’m not sure how hard that will be to achieve.

In the meantime, we’re still in the process of adding Cineversity Live archives, but those will now be available as a podcast.

I know several people, myself included, who have purchased iPads mainly for kicking back (usually while waiting for renders) and viewing tutorials. I’ll put in my vote for the iOS app for sure!

Thanks.

Me too wink

Is there any information about a possible release date for the iOS App and whether it will be online only or offline as well?

Cheers,
Gerhard

Yes viewing the tutorials on an iPhone/iPad is a must.
Could you not provide an mp4 file as in YouTube that would allow us to view tutorials - even if you just started doing for all new tutorials.
We have paid a top price to access and maintain Cineversity so this should really be a high priority.
Thanks.

It would be nice to see an updated response to this thread from the moderators

Is there any news on this? I definitely want the option to view the tutorials on my new IPad grin

Thank you

I’ve just received my subscription renewal notice.
Will you be doing anything about offering alternative viewing formats.
A very fair question that has yet to receive a proper answer.
Your product needs to show value for the very high subscription costs you charge.

iOS / Android support are both available now.
As for “high cost” the first year works out to under $25 a month, and the renewal works out to under $10 a month.
With that you get access to any plugins we release + all tutorials…and support on the forums from on of CINEMA 4D’s most knowledgeable users, Dr. Sassi.

Thanks Dr Sassi,
Unfortunately the IOS response has come too late as I have allowed my subscription to lapse.
Without the ability to access the tutorials on Apple products and the small movie size, there just wasn’t the value in continuing.
With respect to the price, yes when you divide it up on a cost per month - it doesn’t sound too bad - but that’s not how you pay.
You need to come up with $300 - all in one go - which is considerable.
All the best for the future
Chris

You can probably contact MAXON US Sales about this. Since you already had it they may be able to work a deal where you may not have to pay the 295 startup again, just the usual 95 renewal, or maybe something in between.

Won’t hurt to see if you have that option.
