Hello everyone,

I have a question…Is there an easy way to create custom shapes from 2 or mare primitive objects and make them 3D?

I know how to do with creating shapes with compound path in Ai and import to C4D…but was wondering if there is a way that this could be done without having to go to Ai..

Thank you for any advice

Hi everyone,

So, it looks like I will be starting a new job in Carpinteria, and will as such be moving from Long Beach to somewhere in Ventura County. I know that Maxon is located in Newbury Park, so there are likely folks living in Camarillo, Oxnard, or Ventura… Just looking for some insight from the locals on places to live… what areas are worth of consideration, and what should be avoided.

I know this has nothing to do with C4D specifically, and I apologize for the off-topic thread, but I don’t know anyone up there and some local insight would be appreciated.

Many thanks,
- Will

Some customers have reported that anonymous proxies or firewalls are limiting access to tutorials. We’ve made some efforts to overcome this, and are still investigating further fixes.

To check whether your firewall or proxy is blocking RTMP streams, visit http://dev.cineversity.net/vidtest/port_tester

Please copy and paste the results of the test in this thread, as it might help us find the best solution to the issue.

Also, check the other links at the top of the page and report if the video plays in any of them.

cmotion driver steps

Hi guys,

still getting to grips with cmotion. Just had a quick question. When you add walk to a character, it creates the position z movement in the feet and that is driven by the steps parameter. The motion is a sin curve . Is there anyway to adjust the animation curve of this while still keeping the feet driven by the steps setting?

I’d like to add a slight hold at the extremes of the movement, but if i set the driver to none and create my own p.z action then the legs slip when i set the cmotion from static to line.

Does this make any sense?

Thanks

Convert HDR Probe missing in Studio 13?

Hi,

I’m in Studio R13, and the help system says I’ll find “Convert HDR Probe” and “Convert HDR Cross” under the Render Menu, (seems in past versions this was under the Plugins menu.) I’ve attached a screenshot of both my render and plugins menus, but there are no “convert hdr” commands on either one. I’m on Mac OSX. Anyone else have this problem, or know how I might fix it?

Thanks,
ideas on how to create mud splatter

Hi All!! i have a client asking for a ball of mud ( semi liquid ) to be thrown at the camera. the ball is to splatter against the screen, and then drip off of it. Im not so much worried about the dripping off, as i am about the splatter. I played around with soft body dinamics dropping a sphere against a plane, but the sphere keeps its circular shape and never really becomes a splatter. any ideas would be greatly appreciated !!

Bake a movie texture in Projection Man?

Hi,

I think I’m just missing it, but here’s what I’m doing:

I have camera projected an image sequence over geometry to match a camera move from syntheyes.

I would like to bake the movie to some of the geometry.

In the projection man tab I right click on the object and choose “bake texture.”

But from here…I only seem to be able to bake a single frame, not an entire movie. Any tips on how to do this?

Thanks so much!
