Got it!  That was scary, I was sure I’d be able to do it.

Yeah, it is weird not having the falloff follow the ball.  Makes it look like I’m doing something wrong.

PS
I haven’t opened your file yet.  I swear.  ;^)

I hope you had fun! It is a very powerful set up, and you could even animate the falloff. The options of the Falloff are great, think alone of the options to use a “source object” in the falloff, e.g., a standard particle…

Have a great day

Dr. Sassi - 11 August 2014 02:54 PM

My intention was here to show that XPresso offers several ways to get the same result. To have an idea that this is an option, experimenting is key. :o)

Yes, I just want to learn as much as I can about C4D with the intention of using it for work in the future.  I agree with you that just going through how-to (monkey see, monkey do) tutorials is a poor substitute for in depth, methodical learning of the fundamentals.  It might take more time, but in the end leads to much greater proficiency.  This is why I enjoy learning from you so much!

Thank you for being such a great teacher.

Thanks for the nice feedback, Jerome Olivier.

I’m glad we have the forum here as kind of interactive tool.

I believe you will be up and running with XPresso like a master in no time.
The best thing, the little invested time now will save you a lot of time in the future.

BTW, one Link List works - in the example above are not two of them needed.

My best wishes
