Hidden Polygon selection show up in render Redshift

I have a character with multiple costumes that requires the skin to be hidden when “wearing” one of the looks. The clothes are tight and the elbow/fingers show through the suit if the polygons are not hidden. Though hidden in the viewport through a polygon selection tag applied to the areas that poke through, those hidden polygons are showing up in Redshift. I’ve tried assigning a completely alpha material to the selection and the offending polys still show through. Anyone know what I’m doing wrong? Screenshot attached.

Hi folschild,

There are two options, AFAIK, the Geometry channel and the Sprite Node.
. In my experience, which might differ from your project, the Geometry channel works great until polygons match, like two identical spheres, are in the setup. There is a problem. Go to frame 72 in the file below with Sphere and Sphere.1 visible. Sphere.2 holds the sprite node. No artifacts.

Each has some limitations, which one of the two is without problems might show during a little test.

All the best

I tried the sprite method and somehow it’s still showing intersecting. material node tree attached, you can see the alpha is definitely working. Am I missing something in the render settings?
