Weird behavior in cloth tearing

Hi, when i try to do a basic tearing cloth doesnt tear. In fact it even seems like its losing subdivisions or something? Never seen this behavior before.
Could u please check my scene?

Figured it out.. its this normal tag which i dont understand its purpose. It automatically uses it when i import from other software. Ignore this thread smile thanks
