I attempted to use my Adobe Creative suite account along with my Cinema4D account to test the auto-rigger in Mixamo.  I modeled a basic character in Cinema 4D, exported it as a .fbx file, uploaded the character model to Mixamo’s website, and downloaded the animated model with a ‘Salute’ animation.

I dragged the .fbx downloaded file into my new Cinema4D scene and it imported great.  However, all options for the scene objects, attributes, new materials….. Everything is greyed out.  What did I do wrong? What do I need to do to fix this?

Import the FBX again in a new scene and do not accept Takes.

In the FBX 2020.1 Import Settings, there’s no mention of ‘Takes’.  I can go into the Takes tab after it’s imported and delete the mixamo take, but then nothing animates.

Brain fart.
Using the mixamo Take, I can select Auto-Take and edit whatever.  I’ll just have to edit everything else now in the new Take. No biggie.
