Hey Dr Sassi, I have another problem I need help with. So I took your file and this is what I want. I have a blend and having the lines thickness animate as a loop. I see the Mospline have the size but when I add the same spline with scale to a connect and sweep it stays the same size without any scale.
The effects im trying to do is have a flat wall with these lines bevel, show up in any way. Thanks in advance Here is the file and a image of how I want it to show.

Hi Marco,

Thanks for using Dropbox, and of course, thanks for the files. Great to work with!

Here is your file back:
https://www.amazon.com/clouddrive/share/UP3GcLmRvjcFEAssPsYRWg6US9QrzL2xs6fir4krPUN

I have used the Move Effector and the two fields.

I have converted the Spline into a “resolution” (points) that allows for smooth work with them without too much calculation.

The Move Effector> Position. Z parameter needs to be adjusted to your liking.

Here the Sweep uses the second Connect>Cloner as a Rail. The distance between the two Spline results will determine the size of the lines.

Let me know if that works. Please start with every new question, a new thread; thanks! This will keep the forum more searchable and readable.

All the best

Wow thank you so much for this file.. I never knew you can have more then 2 splines into a sweep Is there a way to have no line? and only show the lines that fit within the Pulse?  When I move the position it goes larger.

Hey Sassi, Id figure ill show you what im trying to do.. So this is the ref I have. its this simple spline shape in a few angles. but they all start thick to thin. https://www.dropbox.com/s/e98emowr1m0es6w/Waves.ai?dl=0
You can see by the images its the same shape. So I did animations like this. https://www.dropbox.com/s/fp461gj8b7cxiqc/Background_v1.mov?dl=0.  And im more exploring at the moment. So I want these lines to start out flat then they get revealed but like if something was under it moving it up. I hope that makes sense. And using the same effects to build on logos like this

Thanks, Marco. I will have a look at these files.

I had set up a different way, based on your images/video.

Please have a look here:
https://www.amazon.com/clouddrive/share/PgAHYp9cI9SgfFhytXzeWemmXRQafagERI6z2T2i1Xx

The first one uses a plane to hide the lines, the second one uses an alpha channel with a formula.

Both use the Field object to create the lines’ visibility and scale, while the falloff is animated as well.

Enjoy.

P.S.: I saw the heart mask in your file. If I get it correctly, the wave should recognize the shape as well. I have set up an object as a shape and use the falloff radius to have its edges as the influence of the waves’ diameter as well, so it looks more organic.

Here is the file:

oh these files have provided so much more. I used to teach Cinema 4d at school of visual arts and I would always point my students to you.
As you can see I keep all your files for knowledge and future work.. Thanks again

Dr Sassi, This files Is great. Question on the there shape. Is there a way to offset that by a random? I noticed 1 file had the splines all merged. Is there a way to get it where the splines can be controlled my mpgraph to be able to use random? Or maybe have the splines animate on and step effect the animation offset?

WOW, going by the release number of the files, you must have quite a Library: You just made my day. (Maxon gave everyone a day off today, but I can’t resist to help here, moments like this are worth it alone!)

I hope you had a great time with your students. School of visual arts sounds like a perfect fit.

Thanks for sharing and for your excellent supply of positive energy; very much appreciated.

My best wishes for your project.

P.S.: I just saw your question, please give me a moment wink

Marco, to answer your question from post #12:
File
https://www.amazon.com/clouddrive/share/Vl8XqOVkCvL1d1qS5x26brlc8jgZspDgYGYHUT6zvcv

I have used a Matrix to keep the two Cloners in sync.

The Connect Object has a field in it that contains the Cloners. I marked them with layer-colors, so you know where to find what.

As an example, I just used a Formula Effector inside of the Matrix. Of course, you might have other ideas about it.

Cheers
