I have some problems with the connect object
i have a short animation of a man with a gun.
He takes two steps, then I want to animate the arm (to shoot).
But when the man walks, the gun stops.
The connect object does not offer a solution, at least I cannot get it workable.
I hope you can help me.
Thank you in advance.

Hi Annet,

This is typically done with a Constrain Tag.

Here is your file back

Typically one would pick up the weapon, then use it, and perhaps toss it afterward.

All the best

P.S.:
The Connect Object merges all points and welds even points if enabled.

However, the axis of each object stays untouched. This is the reason why none of the connected objects has an influence on other objects.

A little bit more technically, each point of an object uses the object’s axis as the reference; it is the world to them. Any animation a point will receive is based on a direct relation to the object’s axis.

Once the Connect object has merged all points, the Connect object can take over, but any PLA-based or Skin deformer change of information to each point will influence the final result.
