Hi Michiel,

Thanks for the file. Besides some polygons are flipped (Normal), I can’t see a direct problem. Select all your Polygons, go to
Main Menu> Mesh>Normals> Align Normals [U~A]

In the Attribute Manager> Mode> Viewport Settings, you can enable: Display> Polygon Normal

When I look at a halo,
https://www.wired.com/story/formula-1-f1-cars-halo/
then I see that the connecting point is not the same as in your file. Is your problem here?
Do you want the file modeled this way?

Let me know, I will make a little clip showcasing how to do that.

If it is something else, please tell me as well.

Cheers, stay safe, stay healthy.

Thank you Dr. Sassi for your answer.
I did select all the polygons (and aligned the normals) but it didn’t work out… I think..
See attached file. Still looking not good in the lower part.

I have to work al little bit on the halo… that is the only piece that is missing (See jpg of the car I made).

Thank you!

Kind Regards,
Michiel

Thanks for the information, Michiel.

What I miss in your posts, is this the final shape you would like to have? (Your image.)

Besides, the Phong Tag is set to 180º. What is the idea behind this setting? The Edges had a Phong Break, was that intentionally as well? I really have too little information from your side.

Here is a project file, perhaps you can tell me what you like, or not, so we can find what you want.

Hello Dr. Sassi,

The problem was the Phong Tag setting at 180. This was not intentionally.
I do not understand how this value was getting there.
I solved this and finished the ‘halo’.
Thanks again for your help.

Have a nice easter.

KR,
Michiel

Thanks for the feedback, Michiel, very kind of you.

I’m glad you have the answer now to finish your great model.
Will you build a racetrack next? grin

Happy Easter
