Yes, that was the first thing I did, thanulee. If I get a model with this, I check the normals, and if they are in working condition, I get rid of the tag.
Since I can’t tell how your scene reacts inside Octane, I was left with some insecurity. Take for example the scene-file that works for you: Switch off the Cloth Object. Press the play button, now the scene is back where you had the problems. I can’t tell if Octane can work with the Cloth Object.
On the other hand, the Normal tag seems to disable something that the Cloth Object does. There is no documented problem and indeed not a single note about the ‘why’ this is. But obviously, there is a problem.

Sending back a file to you that I saw working here, generated more information about. You deduction, after comparing the scene files (I assume) that the Normal Tag is in the center of the problem makes it clear now, independent obviously from Octane. Thanks for the feedback.
