Hi Gregg Stankowski,

A scene file would be great to have, perhaps the one you used above. If you have problems to upload here, use the upload link I have send to you via PM [private message].

Please check if that is the same problem, after you hit the A key [refresh]. Just a wild guess!

Please let me know if that is R16 or R17.

I have attached a scene file which works fine here. Please try it.

It sounds like a support case, but let me have a look first.

All the best

Thanks for the file, Gregg!

Drag the Cylinder.1 [mesh] to a lower position than the Cylinder [skin]. In that way, the hierarchy is fine and the flow of information works.

For all cases where this can’t be done, you need to use the Point Chache and switch off “Skin” then (otherwise it doubles)

My best wishes

Thanks a lot, Gregg, you too!

I might have said more, but in a nutshell, the Mesh Deformer ask about the Cylinder, but not what will happen to it, if the hierarchy is not “sound”. In this way, the “skin” will not be evaluated at that time. After changing the sequence in the Object Manager, the Cylinder got already the “skin” treatment and the information about it is changed.

BTW, I will be offline for few days.

My best wishes
