Hello,
I am quiet used to customizing my c4d layout, but currently I am running into a situation where i dont know how to solve this.

In my case I want to add the “UV Mapping” Window (Optimal Mapping, Releax, Projection, Transform UV commands) to my normal Layout. But I cannot figure out how to get the window from the “BP UV Edit” layout to my custom layout. With palettes I would save the palette switch layout and load the palette but I cannot find a save dialog for a window….

Any advice?

Hi Doppelmonster,

While you are in your target Layout:

1)
Windows>Customization> Customize Commands…

In the Customize Commands, go to filter and type in

2)
“uv ma” to get a UV Manger [Mapper] icon.

3)
Double click the icon

This will open the window you asked for, if I understand your target correctly.

4)
This window can be dragged to any position into your layout. Float, Integrated as window or turned into a tab.

5)
Save the layout, perhaps after all windows
not belonging to the target layout are closed as well.

.

I hope that helps.

All the best
