Hi Dr. Sassi, how are you today ? _i am trying to make a cloner object editable w/dynamics tag removed , but forgot the order of things ; (-I have a cloner object w/dynamics tag on it and a few objects inside the cloner. After they fall on a plane object, I am happy with the arrangement. How do I go about “freezing” this arrangement, so I can bring it into another scene?, thank you, Craig

I’m fine thanks a lot for asking. I hope you are doing fine as well.

My suggestion would be to cache (MoGraph cache tag, Dyn-Chache should work as well, but with out a scene file, I would go with the MG cache as suggestion)

This allows you to move the time-slider back and fore. If you found the right position (as you mentioned already) you select the cloner object, and press the C Key. then delete anything you don’t need.

I would save the scene always before you do that, just in case.

If I get a scene-file from you, I will be more detailed perhaps in my answer.

Hi Dr. Sassi, well I figured it out-after I cache my sym, then, I made the cloner editable, so it worked-it has been a while, so i forget the sequence of steps, happens quite often with me-thank you for your support, as always, Craig

No Problem, I think it is a typical experience, what we don’t use often, becomes progressively blurry—but that we did it without problems in the past stays as well.

I just ignore this at all and check often if there was a change anyway, to stay up-to-date. ;o)
