Seafloor-Emitting Different types of Particles

Hi,
I’ve got a thinking particle system setup to emit 11 different types of sea particles.
Problem is, cant figure out how to get the emitter to shoot out 11 different types of sea particles. It will only emit the SAME type particle at various sizes?
Please see the attached scene file below.

Thanks
Joel H.

Hi Joel H.,

Please have a look to the scene file. I have used the group of particles to “drive” a cloner object. You might copy and paste your objects under the cloner object to replace the primitives here.

Besides that, if the solution needs to be TP only: You need to find a way to distribute to 11 PShape nodes the particles. This can be done randomly, or by creating a rule for the particles via PGetData, and perhaps the particle id might help to create a mathematical condition. Let me know—of that is needed.

All the best
Sassi

Hey Joel,

You might find some settings in the Cloner object that fits to your need. Keep in mind, if you need some of the objects more often in the stream, place then more often under the Cloner object. There is certainly a lot of options, e.g, use the Random effector for different scales, etc.

All the best
