Hi Patrick, Dr. Sassi, if you have a moment, can someone please look at my hand-sculpting problem. I’d love to add some skin textures to put on my model. but either I am doing something wrong with my baking, or my model is nor prepared well. Any suggestions would be tremendous, thank you in advance, Craig[url=http://https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/31514862/hand-sculpt.zip]

Hi Craig,

Your UV mesh overlaps and as an result the values wont work as expected.

Make certain that the UVs have on the texture their very own space. Then bake the information.
As you might notice the Normal as well as the Displacement map have that problem.

If you used anything automatic for this process, please contact the support.

All the best

Sassi

Hi Craig,

Here is a screen-shot.

You can, if the, e.g.., Polygon mode is enabled pick specific UV polygons as well from the model in the left view (UV Edit GUI).

Perhaps you check out Kai’s tutorials about relaxing a model.

All the best
