How to put another special motion during Cmotion

Hello. I spent too much time trying to solve this topic, and I wonder if there is a solution.

I rigged a bear using Advanced Quadruped in Character object and applied running Cmotion.
This bear has to run and stop for a while and do something like touch a tree.
Is there a way to make this possible?

I eagerly await your answer. Thank you for reading it.

Hi silo.artwork,

I would use the Animation clips here, as the transition is otherwise challenging.

Here is a workflow with Mixamo, but it is pretty much the same.

Let me know if the is any question; I’m happy to look into it.

All the best

Wow, Your answer was exactly what I needed.

It wasn’t perfect, but I was able to produce meaningful results. I had to bake the expression to put the Cmotion into the motion clip, but it took a lot of time to bake.
I don’t know if this is right, but I didn’t have enough time to study it, so I proceeded like this. Please let me know if there is a more efficient way.
And there was a problem that the modeling was distorted when the axis of the motion clip was moved. Maybe it went wrong somewhere.
Anyway, as a result, I finished the scene, and now I’m rendering it.

Thank you very much for your reply!

Thanks for the reply, silo. artwork.

I would get a loop from C-Motion as a clip; this clip can have any number of repetitions.
If needed, these Clip-loops can be saved as one long clip, called a Motion Clip Source.

Yes, with C-Motion, the Bake Expression is needed.

Depending on your rig, yes, that can take a moment.

Was the trouble during a clip transition?

If you encounter trouble, explore a Cylinder with a few joints as a dummy to explore the steps you like to perform. It is faster and easier to analyze.

All the best
