Change animation speed of clones over distance/gradient?

Hi All,

I have a cloned group of people in a shape, walking in a circle but as you probably know, the inside circle people need to walk slower than the people on the outside of the circle in order to maintain their shape.

I’m wondering if there is an effector setting that might change the speed over a distance? I currently have the step effector with a spherical field offsetting the clones however that doesn’t change the speed of the animation.

Any ideas?

TIA

Hi jasmine.ambele,

Please have a look at this setup:

I have not found a way to have this as a blend set up in a cloner.

But you can copy those (cmd-c and cmd-v, I would not cmd-drag this to make a copy.)

Then change the Circle radius. To get them on a different path position while keeping the radial progress the same, use the same CMotion> Route> Path percent range, e.g., 20% to 80%, 10% to 70%, 30% to 90%. So the path part is always in the same range, as in the example 60%.

All the best
