Screen shot attached.

Thanks,
Imran.

Hi Imran,

Go to
Main Menu> Windows> Customization> Customize Menus…

You get a floating Window with all Menu items. Select the Extension, then select the items you don’t like to see on the menu.

In the bottom area, you can then press Delete; Apply. Do not forget to save the changes.

All the best

Hi,

After removing that… C4D is not running.
C4d starts, appear this screen and it quits.
I removed that c4d_M_EDITOR.res file and c4d runs and its back to original.

Thanks.

Hi Imran,

Thanks for the update.

As usual, I do not just answer from memory (things might change at one point) nor just quote the manual. Since your last file was an R21 version, I started with R21, S22, and R23. All worked nicely, even deleting the whole group. Since I typically do change a lot, for various reasons, I checked it carefully. No problems.
Then I brought it back to default—also, no problems.

With your information, I checked what R22 (S22) would do if I remove that file. Also, all fine. Again, trouble is not what should be ignored, and at the moment I can reproduce it, I file a report.

Checking the manual did not mention any problems, limitations, nor danger to do so

If you have that specific file, perhaps it is in the trash. Would you mind attaching it here (zip it)? It contains a text list of all items. I can take a look at it. It feels like the file was not written correctly. My first thought would be to check the hard drive carefully.

Anyway, problems like this should always be sent to support.

This is the file which I removed and c4D works.

Thanks.

Thanks a lot, Imran.

Inside of the Cycle entry is a submenu (line 1303 etc).
If I put the “Light Kits” in “” and delete the double-entry of Light Kits, it opens here without a problem.

I’m currently not clear if that should be brought to the attention of Insydium LTD or Maxon’s support. I would try Insydium first in this case.

You might test this and check your menu after that, as I do not have your plugins here, so I see only the top menu. IF you test this: no promises. (Use the un-zipped file of course)

My best wishes.

wow…. It works.

In customize menu… now I am seeing double Cycles 4D.
I did some more menu settings, some up and down and got this now new line error 1294.
I think safe side, stay as default.

These ArchiCad, GoZbrush, google, houdini… I can not remove its plugin files….?

Thanks.

Thanks for testing, Imran.

You might customize it and put the “” as mentioned again on it. The problem will come back until it is solved by the developers, nothing that I fix, of course.

From my understanding, these extensions are “hardwired”.

What you can do, but you will get the error message (if you don’t fix the “” for the Cycle entry Light Kits”):
Create a new Submenu, call it HIDE (or whatever you like…).
Then drag everything that you don’t like to see under it. This will result in one entry and keep your otherwise long list shorter.

All the best
