Bevel Tool Solid Mode

Hello Everyone,

I’m trying to do a solid bevel of an “L” shaped cube, however, the bevel tool starts to behave unexpectedly in this scenario. I don’t know if its a bug or my lack of understanding in regards to the solid bevel mode. I uploaded the file with an edge selection tag. If you have any advice it would be helpful.

Best regards,
Robert.

Hi Robert,

Thanks for the file!

When I go back to R21, things work differently. I have checked the mesh, and did the test with a fresh new L shaped object, in several versions of Cinema 4D. I also tried to find a workaround for now.

In the S22 version, I can reproduce the problem.

You will also find the Bevel Deformer used and without the Edge Selection that you get an excellent L beveled shape.

I will file a report, but if you like, you can check with the support.

Sorry for the trouble you have experienced.

Cheers
