Hi,

ArtSmart object, I was trying to make editable, material created and when Current State to Object… no material applied to any object. Only Art tag shows the stroke and fill color.

Any Way to apply materials (by create material) to object….?

Thanks,
Imran.

Hi Imran,

If I get this correctly, the Attribute Manager shows the right colors, but you get no material that contains that color information. You don’t want to use the Create Material button.

Please have a look here:

The idea is to place a MoGraph Color Shader into the material channel (e.g., Color), and by default, it will take the Object Color and provides it to the rendering. It needs only a single Material Tag per group. IF you like to change the color, you can add a Colorizer-Shader to it.

Is that solving your problem?

Cheers

Have to resize the object. Artsmart does not scale object, have to go back in AI and change size and then reload….! Many object to fix… go back and reload… taking time.

After resize, material will be changed, some glass, reflections…! and tag shows only the colors.

It will be nice if created material apply to object and then I can change its setting to galls or glossy.

Is there way to apply material without Art tag….?

Thanks.

Imran,

If you select all the objects under the Art Smart Object, the Scale Tool> Attribute Manager> Object Axis> Per Object Manipulation, then you can all objects at once that need the same scale amount. Do not scale the Art Smart Object, it will produce new instances. Do this with a copy of your file first, as I have nothing from your side here, it is really difficult to say anything.

Material

TH Art Smart Object writes this color into the Sweep or Extrude Attribute Manager> Basic> Color. This is the same color that the Ai file has applied to the Path (spline). No idea why you have changing colors.

If you have a Material in the material Manager that you need to replace on many objects, do the following. Select that Material in the Material Manager.
Go to material Manager> Select> Select Material Tags/Objects
In the Attribute Manager, the Material Tag should be visible.
Drag the NEW material into the Attribute Manager> Tag> Material field. Done.

So, it’s midnight here, My best wishes.

P.S.: I’m not sure why you needed to re-scale everything, but just in case, here is a little tip

With this setting, you should get predictable results.

ENJOY.

Thanks, Imran, I had answered here, but obviously, it got lost. Our cable on the street was pulled out to be a trash-truck, so we were offline on Monday for a longer time.
Cheers
