Hi,

Is there a way in Cinema4d to offshoot/overshoot custom parameters?
If this was PSR, it can easily be done using delay effector but apparently delay effector does not work in custom parameters. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Thank you for your time.

P.S. Also, this is a nice website for overview in offshoot/overshoot in C4D

Disclaimer: This was an old thread I made in CGSociety but I couldn’t really get an answer and I’m experiencing the same problem at the moment.

Regards,
Ben

Hi Ben,

Typically I would do overshoot animation with the F-Curve. It is just the most stable way to do.

Here is Tim’s idea applied in the first file to overwrite the keyframe animation. This requires shutting this effect off each time you want to adjust the keyframes or set a new one. The second file (screenshot) uses a Userdata parameter instead of the object’s parameter. In this way, the keyframing is clean (not overwritten) and can be set to any values, of course (based on the Userdata set up).
