Invert your Texture Maps.

The fastest way to invert your B&W textures to use them as masks or bump normal etc. is to change the black point and white point from 0/1 to 1/0! The layer shader is also great for this and if you're using a color texture then you will see the fastest way to desaturate it and invert it.
