Howdy,

Just wondering if there are any optimizations one needs to be aware of to sped up S&T.  Presently I have a drum kit modeled that I am going to use sketch on and also the ray trace for other parts.  Doing an editor render just now took 8 minutes with sketch what the full render with best AA takes only 48 seconds to accomplish.  I have the lines set to only border, so even though the model is fairly complex it shouldn’t be a complete killer.

I am as always eternally grateful for your insights and wisdom.

Cheers,
- Will

Hey Will,

Have you considered to make “Edge-Selections”? Attribute Manager>Sketch material? The less information is needed to be calculated the less time is the preprocessing takes.

(..or take the selections and convert them to Splines and use splines)

As you have not provided a scene file, just a suggestion ... have you considered to use the Poly Reduction (Deformer?) option first?

All the best
