Sorry, probably a silly little question that is sitting right in front of me, but here goes… how can I change the default type on text objects?  Right now when I load a text object, it displays “Basic Latin”.  Yes obviously I always change that to whatever font style I need, just didn’t know if I could change the default font that it loads initially.  I’ve checked preferences but it’s not jumping out at me.  This make sense ?  Basically I know how to change/load new fonts, I’m just talking about the default preference font that it loads when you add a text object?

We can have a public stoning later if I’m overlooking something very simple smile

Thanks !

Create the text object.
Change the settings to what you would like to use as a default.
In the AM go to the edit menu, and then choose “Set as default…”
That should be what you are looking for smile

Thanks, that was it.  I knew I was overlooking something silly, usually the case most of the time.

Thank you Patrick.

No problemo!

There’s a lot of stuff in the app, sometimes C4D needs a collective brain.
