How do I see the Stage Object’s view when I use its “Camera” property?

Hi again, Dr. Sassi,
On rare occasions, I get to see how it transitions from camera to camera, but most of the time, I can’t. Is there a consistent method to do this?

Thanks

Hi openmindedcomedy,

The Stage object (if you have more than one) that is on top of the Object Manager is the one that is used.

The camera that is inside of the camera field will be used.

Transitions are not available to my knowledge. There is, however, the camera transition that can be switched off in the Preferences> Navigation.
I have that off all the time, as it confuses me more than it has ever helped: Is that motion from my animation or from this transition effect? Not my cup of tea at all, to say it politely.

If you need to blend among many cameras, use the Camera Morph.

It is only available after you have selected several cameras.

All the best

Hi Dr. Sassi,

I think I found the problem. My Stage Object is inside a Null Object that has its “Visible In Editor” turned off. Did not know that’s how it works

Thanks for the update, openmindedcomedy!

I have no problems here when I recreate this. Perhaps you can share a small example file?

Cheers

Oh, I meant I found out why the Stage Object doesn’t switch between cameras in its camera field, and I have fixed it. Basically, even though it is enabled, the stage object is parented to a Null object that has its “Visible In Editor” property turned off, so I decided to turn it back on, which then made the Stage Object work again
