Using Toon Rig in C4D R23, rig controllers are not rotating or sticking to the character position

Hi guys,

I built and adjusted my components/and controllers and then binded the Toon Rig to the characters mesh and clicked the Animate Tab. I’m super excited at this point, especially since its 5th attempt and I know it’s going to work this time… NOPE lol.

Problem #1 - When I try to rotate or move the (L_Arm (L_elbow_CON+) or the (L_Arm(L_Hand_CON+) the controller doesn’t stick to the character.

Problem #2 Tried to switch to 100% FK on that arm, using IK/FK Blend and want to rotate (L_Arm(L_Bicep_FK_CON+) and the controller seems to be stuck and not do anything. I’ll need to rotate the arms and any controller to be able to manually test and weight the character.

What could I be doing wrong? Is there anything I should be avoiding? Is there a way to reset the controllers to default settings?

I have tried really hard to follow the Cineversity Toon Series tutorial process exactly, If anyone has any ideas I’d really appreciate it

Hi davidharris3d,

I checked everything, and the only part that I would really change is the “Enable Axis Modification”. I have often gotten files that had that on, leaving you with a weird feeling, of course.

Screen capture

In other words, open the file as you have sent it to me and press one time the L key. It should work just fine now.

Is that what you have seen so far?

I hope that fixes it for you.

ENJOY

Yes everything is working fine now. Wow such a simple fix!

I think I must’ve been staring at the screen too long lol. Thank you so much for taking a look I appreciate it.
