Hi,

Is there a way to have the skinned object stay as is when I switch to modelling tools?
Currently, it snaps back to the original position even if I have the deformed editing on.

You can check the illustration of the problem here:

You can check the illustration file here:

Ben

Hi Ben,

Sorry about your trouble. Thanks for the file.

I can’t reproduce this here. What is weird, when I change View-settings, it doesn’t show any signs of change.

Do one (or all) of the following.

• Copy the objects in a new project file, perhaps make sure that the deformed editing settings are on before pasting it.
• Restart the app, set up a new scene
• Workaround for now, as temporal help: Correction Deformer (placed below the Skin)
• If nothing helps, I can only ask you to check with the support.

Fingers crossed that is just a single glitch.

My best wishes

Hi Dr. Sassi,

Thanks for the response.
In your video, you are just in point editing mode. You are not in modelling tools.
If you check my video again, I am in point editing mode and then I switch to Bevel Command.
You’ll then see the problem.

Regards,
Ben

Hi Ben,

I get your point. This is not possible. Only modeling, as shown in post #1.

All the best
