Ghost hair guides?

Hi there

I’m experiencing a weird thing with a hair object, where look like the guides are in symmetry mode but it isn’t.
So, I’m calling this as a ghost hair, because I cannot find explanation to have those floating guide on the left of the attached image.

This is meat to be droplets covering the front half of a bottle, but it is covering everything.

Here is the C4D file: http://www.danielsian.com.br/downloads/hair_problem.zip

Cheers

Hi Studio Sixty Four,

Sorry, the attachment system is broken, would you mind to upload the image, scene file., to the upload link I have sent to you via Private-Message(Cineversity)?

Thanks.

Cheers

Hi Dr. Sassi, how are you?

I’ve just sent you the files through Dropbox.
A good way to see the problem is scaling the bottle down.

Thanks

Thanks for asking, I’m fine, I hope you’re doing fine as well.

Thanks for the extra work with the files, sorry about that again!

Here is your file back.
https://www.amazon.com/clouddrive/share/LreK2Fo7s7K1Q5vrxODo3YDDmCwepFMRszcArwIiYPE

If the file shouldn’t be public, please let me know.

There were somehow stored, and I used Guides> Editing> Stored. (I got it solved later on, with out that step…?)
However, it only seems to be stubborn to Generate Square mode.
When I selected the one you like to keep and use the [U~I] short cut to invert the selection, I was able to delete the unwanted hairs.
I was not able to reproduce the problem, I tried now a half hour.

All the best and enjoy your project

Thank you very much Sir!

I tried lots of things before to give up and post here, and your approach was really simple but effective.
I’ll try to get some fresh air before to give up next time.

Cheers

You’re very welcome, Studio Sixtie Four, thanks for the nice feedback.

I know that feeling all too well. A walk is often the best counter agent.

Enjoy
