Hi.
I real liked the water ripple effect from the example scene “rocks.c4d”.
But I am having trouble understanding how the ripple positions are created.
So my question is, Is there more information available somewhere around these example scenes that come with C4d?
Thanks Dik

Hi Dik,

I have no additional sources for these scenes. Sorry.

Please have a look into the Water Material> Normal. Is this what you have in mind? If so, the Normal map is an image based surface information that shares surface orientation information per pixel, while the underlying mesh can be low res to a certain degree.

Does this answer your question?

Cheers
