How do I import an SLDASM (solidworks) file into C4D

I just upgraded to R20 studio and tried to import an SLDASM file from Solidworks.  I have attached a screenshot of the result.  The file opens but the screen is empty .  I see objects in the objects window but there is nothing in the view window.  Am I missing something?

Hi Tishin,

I have send you an upload link. I will have a look into your file.

You can also upload the screen shot, if you like, but I’m happy with the file alone.

Talk to you soon.

Tishin,

I went to SolidWorks
http://www.3dcontentcentral.com/parts/download-part.aspx?id=263554&catalogid=171
and downloaded some example files. I guess that Solidworks has checked these files.

Since you got no alert during import, the object might have been loaded, but the one that I had as an example was so small that the screen looked empty.

While the mouse indicator is in the editor view, press the H key.

Since I do not have a file nor your screenshot available, please share what the content of the Object Manager tells>

Anyway, I leave the upload link open. I will not post your file here.

If you were able to solve your workflow problem, please let me know.

Thanks a lot.

Have a great weekend

Sorry for not responding sooner.  I thought I would respond now because I am on another project and have a similar problem.  Here was the solution to my previous problem.  I was given a .sldasm file.  The file did not contain the .sldprt files.  The reason that I was seeing an empty screen was because I had an assembly with no parts.  The solution was to place the assembly file in a folder and then include all of the corresponding parts files also.  That worked.  As long as the parts files are in the same folder as the assembly files, the assembly files will reference the parts files in that folder.  However, I am now on a new project and have a new problem with assembly and parts files.  I will start a new thread.  Thx for your help.
