Hi, i used to be able to reset my cloner blend mode in r19 with a plain effector with the following:
- Modify clone 100%
- Set max to 0

In R20 nothing happens when i change the max to 0.

I know falloffs and weights have been revamped, but whats the way of doing it now?

thanks

Hi thanulee,

Yes, I can see what you describe, in R20 0% switches the Effector off and the Blend affects the clones from start to finish as blend, not a single one is the same. That was not the case in R19. The manual doesn’t state this (do I miss something?)

I have to explore this more in detail.

For now, here are two ways to get back to the old way:
Scene files:
https://www.amazon.com/clouddrive/share/gKW3th66IW9M2tLY05LEpeD9QZrqKJyOOGdvs9gBrLk

Typically the set up with Blend is based on a Cloner that blends one, and a parent Cloner that distributes them. There, it is not a problem, and since this is the way I use it, I have not notice any problems.

The other file uses a Plain Effector right on the start with a value for Modify Clones that is really small. In this way it doesn’t snap back to a sequence blend.

If I find out something else, I will follow up here.
Otherwise, you are more than welcome to ask the support, which would be also a proper place, since this goes kind of in the coding part of the app.

I will do of course, thanulee.

It feels like that it should be like before. It makes no sense to have an off switch with a 0% function there.

Thanks for posting this.

All the best
