Unexpected holes in UV

I have played around now for a while and I can’t figure out what’s wrong. I have unwrapped the UV to edit the material, but when I view the object in render view I have holes that shouldn’t be there. Can anybody help?

Hi dnvie,

I can see your problem in the images, but I need a scene file. (…reduced to the problem, no 3rd party stuff/settings, thanks.) Scene files tell the whole story, images not so much.
