Can’t pick points and don’t understand why?

Sorry, I’m new and lame, but can anyone help me? I am working on the bottle demo and I can’t seem to pick some points. I notice the demo’s instructor Athanasios Pozantzis has a nice blue cage around his cylinder that has those points available for picking. I don’t know how to get that or what to look for on the internet to search the solution out myself. I’ve really tried. For some reason, I can’t attach a photo to help show what I am trying to figure out.

Basically, I have a subdivision surface as a parent with a connect as child and an array as a child of that with a 1/4 of cylinder at the bottom/ root. I can’t pick any points as the demo-er is showing and I can’t move forward. Please, please help me.

Hi Fauntail,

Please have a look here:
https://www.cineversity.com/forums/viewthread/2768/#10620

Or perhaps more comfortable here:

Typically a request for help with a tutorial is started with the “Help with this Tutorial” button, which is suggested to be the only way to request help with a tutorial. Since you are asking a question that was asked already today, I guess it is something that will stop others as well. So thanks for your question here, I will leave it in the Q&A forum, so where ever someone is searching for an answer, I hope it will be found.

Sorry about your extra time, to clear this.

Enjoy the series.

Thank you so much, Dr. Sassi. I am new. Please forgive my lack of knowing the forum rules, though I thought I understood. But I’ll definitely use the proper channels next time. Thank you so much!

Thanks a lot for your fast reply, Fauntail,

Please don’t you worry a second about forum rules. We do that to keep things organized, so everyone can find things faster. Not at all to give people a hard time. This is a typical first step thingy, and I don’t mind.

If there is anything you like to know, never hesitate to ask. I’m happy to look into it.
If you post in a different place than we like to have it, normally, I move stuff around. This time I leave it here.

Enjoy your explorations!

Very nice of you, Fauntail, thanks a lot.

I believe that every question which is not asked will work like a black-hole, it soaks all energy slowly into it. So, please never hesitate to ask.

Have a great time here.
