Hi Folks,

I strongly suspect it is something I am missing, but I can’t get any mp4 to work in the new R19 media core. Here are my steps.

Create a material
Add the MP4 video file to the luminescence channel
place the material onto an object
Play

Nothing happens. This is the exact steps outlined in the R19 preview.
I suspect I need to enable something somewhere.
Any suggestions?

Update NVM: I figured it out, activate the “Animate Texture” tag in the Editor window.

Where do you want to use it, In MoGraph (Shader Effector) or as (Surface) Texture?

Textures, to my knowledge, have no option, they need to be duplicated in the time line, with a new Sound (Add Special Tracks)

I have send you an upload link, just in case.

BTW, I advice against any strong compressed (lossy) sound files in production, except as replacement for timecode, sync, etc). It doesn’t get better…

Thanks Dr. Sassi. I just loaded it up into the Sound Effector and the audio seems to play okay

You might use it with the Sound Track as an option, or,  explore the Main Menu>Create>Sound – options.
