Hi folks,

I have a question about cinema4d and x-Particles.
I have a scene wich creates Particles from x-Particles and I would like
to export one frame into a real obj file. That means, that all Particles
shoud be convertied in real geometry.

Hwo does it works?

Thank you for your support

Max

Hi Max,

Sadly my temp X-Particles version has run out of time. So, I’m trying a blind folded flight here.

There is certainly an option to create a little geo-representation for each particle in X-Particles. This would be then needed to be exported as “.obj” based sequence.

Since X-Particles can feed Thinking Particles to my knowledge, you could feed the visible particles into a PShape node. With a “Particles Geometry” group, this would create the geometry you ask for.

I have send an e-mail to INSYDIUM LTD, asking for a student version. I zero budget to buy all that things connected to Cinema 4D, and that is a lot. Typically the industry is supporting my efforts with NFR versions. We will see how it goes.

All the best
