When you have a question about a tutorial, use the button near the tutorial [see image] to create a post or use the exact tutorial name. Otherwise, the search for everyone else will be not as efficient as it could be.
My best guess would be that it is one of the newer tutorials from Rick Barret, but which one (?), there are two which deal with Luminance and variations that comes to mind.
