Stuck

In the first video I get to the point where you are selecting the caps - but I have no such caps. See attached JPGs (yours and mine).
Thanks in advance for any insight you can offer.

Make sure the cloned cylinder has ‘caps’ turned on before you make it editable.

Thanks

Thanks. That’s the first thing I checked but caps is selected. Segments is at 1 and Fillet is unchecked.

Did the initial set of cylinders you used to create the boolean with have caps (08:02 in video) ?  Top and bottom caps?

When you duplicate the original bristle_boole set of cylinders (09:31 in video), that duplicate should have the caps on both top and bottom just like the original boolean set of cylinders.

Also, just noticed in the image you posted, you can see the Polygon Normals on the left image.  Not sure if that is throwing you off or not but…if you Press Shift+V it will bring up your Viewport settings.  Under the ‘Display’ tab, you can turn on ‘Normals’ and you will see the normals show up just like the left side image you posted.  Either way, with or without the normals showing, your caps should be selected if you have caps turned on.

Hope this helps.
