Hi, everytime I open the F curves editor, it shows all tracks, and I have to switch that off manually. Is there a preference somewhere where I can switch that off by default ?

Thanks,
Emmanuel

Hi Emmanuel,

I fear there is no default option to set this to “Show the Object but not all the Tracks” in one click (I got: this is what you like to have). My best guess is, that is part of the “command” to have the curves active.

There is a way to do it on your own, to have a one-click or short-cut solution for this:

(Please test this carefully, I’m not a “coder”, so no guarantee) I hope, I was able to create what you like to have in the attached image and file. With this set-up you can even create a short-cut for this. In the Main-Menu>Script, you can load it, and it can be part of your interface, short-cut, perhaps only in the Main-Menu>Windows>Customize>Commands…

In short: The selected object[s] will be opened in the F-Curve after you click on the icon or use the short-cut (no set yet), but no tracks are selected.

All the best
