Hi Craig,

You can’t let the fingers from jpg? ;o) Render a test in Open EXR (not the Quick Time EXR—BTW, just ignore that option for ever!).

You want to have it bluish or B&W or what was the target?

What color space do you use in C4D and Ae?

Without an example of the C4D scene, to see your scene set up nor a single jpg, I guess—I can’t tell more.

Check the jpg in photoshop, or open it in the Picture viewer to gain more information.

All the best

You’re welcome, Craig.

JPG’s (and other 8bit-stuff, sort the gray-values (channels) along the gamma curve, so the mid values are stronger defined than the blacks or the highlights. The blacks might be thin from the start, and the highlights are kind of tonal compressed, similar to Cineon. Long story…, I have done tons of tutorials about over on my YouTube site.

Anyway, if PNG works for you (I hope you use at least 16bit/c) then—my best wishes for the project.

Craig, I hope it was a single, non-repeatable glitch. I like to solve things, otherwise others will run into it and have perhaps no time for a fix. Anyway, I made my point about my personal preferences and since an alternative format worked, lets close it.

My best wishes for the project
