I had to split a thread, as mixing themes or chain-threads lead to an endless and unreadable “something”.

Hi Dr. Sassi! Me again. I want to create a dynamic rope for a ballon that react to the movement. I think this could be solved with hair module, but I don’t know how or if is the best way to do it.
I attach the scene file. Hope you can help me with some advice.

Hi iaec,

Please no chain-threads, as it becomes un-readable for others later on.

Here is your file back. Note that I have selected the top point (after introducing more “real” points) and connected it to the balloon.

I left all parameters on default, you might like to adjust them to your needs of course.

I have three elements in it to give the rope some “volume” but unchecked it to make clear what was needed and what is optional.

You might change the Spline type to, e.g., Cubic.
