I am confused withe the following results. I used a loop to select the edges of a polygon child to a Subdivision Surface. I than pressed M&R to bring up the weight tool. Normally when child to a Subdivision Surface I would get the Weight HyperNurbs not the Weight Subdivision Surface Tool..

Not the case. Thoughts.

Hi CreativeRaul,

The typical keys for this are the ones as shown in the attached image.

The Help Content seems the same for the
“Reference> CINEMA 4D> CINEMA 4D Prime> Create Menu> Generators”
—->Subdivision Surface

No change from help r15 to r16. Have you set all your Preferences as in R15?

IF that is all not giving you the wanted functionality—please contact the support.

My best wishes

Got it. I had to hold down shift. I was referencing an old tutorial and it looked different.

Thank you Sassi for the help.

You’re welcome, Creativeraul.

There are certainly shortcuts and other things that are not mentioned in the Manual. I wouldn’t be surprised if there are some hidden ones. ... and yes, things might change.

I hope it works for you comfortably now.

All the best

It has. It’s just a matter of digging around.

Thanks again for the help.

Sassi,

Yes M+R and than shift + drag. Works the same way on Weight HyperNurbs as Weight Subdivision Surface.

The shift and Drag to adjust the weight is what I forgot to do.
