Hi Ben,

Would you mind to place the texture(s) on an object and share the file?

Talk to you soon.

Collecting now… In the meantime, Here’s whats driving me crazy…
The running length is 350 frames… If I render from 0-350 it doesnt show up… If I start at 120 it does appear…

I will stay tuned, Ben.

Check the path of the texture and if by any chance this is set up in the Animation of the Material correctly. (No idea about the Animation, it is more a shot into the blue!)

Here is the link I have a suspicion that you are right about the file path… Not sure how that got so spun around…

Ben, I got the file, but I’m not certain which one is bothering you. The objects seems to be 90ยบ rotated (Signature, Plane—which are also set to not seen by camera, perhaps the External Comp-tag indicates that this is for Ae!?) (I use R14 here, as I think you use it currently)

Anyway, please check the PSD files that you use inside of the Material. Alpha Channel: Go to the Layer-Set>Select button (below the path/name) and select the “Layer-alpha” in the Layer-set!
This seems to be a problem.

Is this fixing it? If not set a Preferences >Files>Texture Path to the folder, just to be double safe.

BTW, you might delete the download link now.

Ben, create a copy of the scene, so we can explore it further.

Please replace the Texture with a Checker-board shader, so we exclude the path or any other problem.

(I switched to “Seen by Camera” and I was able to see all four parts that have an alpha.)

Let me ask you this: is the alpha channel missing on the objects or do you miss the alpha in the quicktime that you render out?

If it is the in the QuickTime, you have set the output to Straight alpha, but not a separate, which I would always prefer (Well, I use image sequences…)

Let me know if that represents the files with the problems. I have excluded any other non-alpha. If this is the result you are looking for. I have attached as well an Images of the files I have in use. I placed them all on one layer and switched to solo, which excludes of course some influence…

As a siden note, I have no idea what is going on—on your side, So perhaps Support should be considered. it’s 2pm here.

It sis only missing when I render out… player and signayture object are only there to be used as nulls in after effects I figured if I set them to not be seen by the camera. then it owuld beok… The neet needs to be seen not the player and signature I will be adding those in after effects

OK, two objects/materials to exclude.

How the Checkerboard worked?

Edit, got your message. Yes of course, it is animated and scales from that time from not visible to be seen in the scene.

It is animeted in the Frozen part. See image /edit

What I wrote before

Ben, I have reduced your file to the two objects in question. I changed the rendering to “Non-Straight-Alpha”.

The Animation codec to Millions+ colors (otherwise there might be no alpha included. Is this the problem?)

I have replaced the Psd files (which contained “Smart Objects) with simple jpgs. I also set them to Soft instead of Image Alpha.

To be certain that we get the same result, I have placed a little rendered file (20%) with AA 1x1 for speed, and Aniamtion for softness, your file was on still.

So, please render it and compare. :o0
