Hello, I have attached hair to a specific point on a mesh. The mesh is a child of a parent null which has animation. I would like to generate geometry from the hair. I have a problem where the hair doesn’t stay attached to the moving geometry if the generate type is enabled.
attached is my test file.
white = mesh + animated parent null. - the hair moves with the mesh
red = mesh + animated parent null with hair set to generate type flat. - the hair does not move with the mesh
green = animated mesh with hair set to generate type flat - the hair moves with the mesh
this file is a simple test of what i am doing in a larger animation. I need to keep the animation on the null, not the child object.
Is there a way to get the hair with generated geo to move with the mesh?
A possible solution I thought could be to point cache the child mesh, however i tried this and it doesn’t bake the movement of the parent null.
