Team Render Interruption

Hello-

I need some help with Team Render. I have R17 Visualize and trying to team render among two computers. The documentation says I can use up to 3 machines to team render with the Visualize version. The two machines are on a wired network. So both machines are running and the team render setup is working fine. The rendering moves along until I get a pop-up message on one machines saying:

“CINEMA 4D Visualize
There is already a version of Cinema 4D Visualize running using the same serial number on the following machines…”

It lists the other machine that is rendering.

The problem is, the buckets stip rendering until I dismiss this by pressing ok. This would be a problem while running unattended. Is there a way to avoid this. I’m allowed three machines to team render with this license.

Thanks for any help!

Hi envdesign,

Do you have the full C4D versions running on the “other” render machines or the “TeamRender Client”?

If that is not the case (render clients are used), please check with the support:

Both machines have R17 Visualize installed. Both machines are running C4D at the same time. I have the scene file loaded on one machine and set up a team render set up within the team render machines palette. The other machine has C4D launched but no scene file loaded. I set off the team render via the Picture Viewer (team render to picture viewer).

Thanks for the reply envdesign,

So, you have two (or more) full versions with the same serial number running while starting the Team Rendering.  I have to admit, I never come that far, I get that message you mentioned above mostly after a few seconds.

Start only the “TeamRender Client” on any but your main computer, and try again. This is the only way I know and which works here.

Of course, again, feel free to contact the support!

All the best

Okay, I see now. I am supposed to run Team Render Client on the client machine, NOT the C4D application.  Thank you for your help!!
