Hi Craig,
An empty Object-Manager [OM] can be caused by:
• All layers in the Layer Browser are set to not show up in the OM
• A layer in the Layer Browser with no content is set to “Solo” or as above and solo.
• The “Search” function of the OM is set to something that isn’t available in the scene
• Something is in the “Path Bar”, that has no hierarchy,e.g., a single light is set as Root.
• The “Filter” is set to filter out everything.
• The scene file is corrupted. (Perhaps merge it in a new file to test this.)
• An OM “Bookmark” was created and is active, and if the bookmark leads to an empty OM.
===
In any way, check out what happens if you:
• Request a new Object Manager
• Inspect the OM>View menu
• Call up a new object and see if it shows up.

If non of the above helps, then there is only the support:

Good Luck
