Scene files need to be in “Zip”, but thanks for going instantly to Dropbox.
I do not had the texture, so I included one close to it.
The texture-projection is set to “Spherical”, which might be great in some cases, but not for this object.
You can see the projection method visually represented by the yellow grid.
My suggestion here, use Cubic as projection.
Then use the “Fit to object”, perhaps make further adjustments for the size.
