Cineversity

Some times when I render a image I get the name000.tif.  Cinema tacks on the 000 to the name.  I’ve looked for a place to turn this off.  It only happens randomly.  What am I missing?

I really had to check the manual if I missed something as well. It is not elaborating on an option to have no number.

However, typically you get no number if you are on Frame zero AND the “Render-Settings”>Output is set to “Current” frame.

So far I can tell, any other combination of Manual, Preview or even All Frames, will introduce the numbers. The numbers it self can have different appearances, as in the “Save” part offered.

So, if you find it to happen outside of that “Current Frame Zero” definition, please let me know. (Of course Quicktime Movies set to one frame only have no numbering as well…)

That was it.  Somehow I had moved the timeline playback head and it was thinking I was rendering an animation.  thanks.  It was driving me crazy.

We are not supposed to handle things which are supposed to be solved by the support.
If you need renderings without the number, you might use the suggestion option, but it is obvious, that the danger exists to overwrite other frames.
