Dr. Sassi

What steps did you take to unwrap my model. UV edit is not responding to the model on my end. I can’t seem to figure out why. It’s driving me a little nuts right now.

Any suggestions are welcomed.

I did nothing, CreativeRaul. I only checked it, if there was something that might could have caused trouble.

The rendering with the UV color checker texture did went well! So, What ever you do with the UV, make a copy first of your scene. I rendered it completely and nothing that would concern me.

In UV Edit, the model itself must be selected, then right sided from the window (your image above) is the UV editor window, there to UV Mesh and in the pull down menu you will find what you need (Naming the UV tag is always a good idea before, so you know what you are working with.)

Let me now if there is another question, I have to do some errands (computer to apple-store etc) but I’m back quickly

All the best

Ya I don’t get any normal options. If i make a new scene and go to UV edit after creating a simple editable square.

Everything works correctly. I can right menu click etc.

The square shows up in my right menu. This is very confusing.

I don’t know why my model is causing me an issue but it works fine on your end.

Dr. Sassi,

I got the hang of it and got it to work.

Thank you for all your help.

Best wishes at the Apple Store.

Sounds good, CreativeRaul!

Thanks for the wishes, it was my partners iMac, with a broken spring of the stand.

If there is any question, please let me know.

Since I got to know a little bit more of your scene to know, perhaps you replace the head for tests with a simple sphere, This will help to split the search in context or main-model. Just a thought.

I certainly wish I could have all plug ins and shaders available for CINEMA 4D, just to be clear, I do not “diss’ all of that, but I do not have a budget for that.

The Wire Shader is certainly a great addition.

Anyway, yes, it will work fine on the end, and all the problems will turn into an experience that will create a better base for the next project. I’m certain about that.

Have a great evening

Sassi
