Problems with Team rendering using R16 (R15 works fine)

Hi

I use an iMac running 10.9.5 and Cinema R16.027 (latest build) and I have an older Mac Pro running Mac OSX 10.7.5 I have installed The Client Team render (same R16.027 version).

I can see the Mac Pro client on my iMac but when I try to verify it I get a “no answer” error message.

This error message is supposedly to do with a firewall but I am also running R15 on the iMac and an R15 client team render (same version) on the Mac Pro. I can unverify and reverify the R15 Mac Pro team render and use it without any problems.

Any suggestions as to why is R16 not working (but R15 is)?

Thanks
Chris

Thanks Sassi

Have already sent it off. Are other people having issues that you know of?

Cheers

You’re welcome, Chris, even if I wasn’t really solving anything.

I cross the fingers that someone else has successfully solved this. If you find something, perhaps you leave a hint here. Thanks.

All the best

FYI Sassi

Maxon support:
Disable “Announce Service Via Bonjour” in the Preferences for “Renderer / Team Render” and manually adding a machine by typing in IP colon Port number fixed the issue. Sounds like a minor bug with R16.

Cheers

Thanks a lot, Chris.

Nice that the support was able to help here as well.

To shut off Bonjour sounds counterintuitive, so your feedback is certainly of value.

I hope this will be helpful for others running into a problem with it.

Have a great day
