I watched and recreated the tutorial but it didn’t work. The Compare is not doing its job for some reason. I can not figure out why.

I am using Cinema4D r15. I have recreated all the nodes and settings multiple times with no resolve.
I also made a group.1 for the TP with no luck.

The project files attached for reviewing.

Hi CreativeRaul,

There are two things that I would do differently.

The Time node gives seconds, not frames, if “Time” is used. Your project is around 3 seconds, and the time-compare node triggers at second 27. I would use Frames from the Time Node instead, if frame 27 was the one in question.

Do you like to stop them all at frame 27? If so, this works. If you change a parameter in a particle stream, without moving them to a new group, chances are great that you do it over an over again. So each frame, the Velocity of each particle is “halfed” in your set up*. Which shows then as an fast stop. IF they would go then in the next group, this half-velocity loop would not exist. *(The x and z direction is stopped always and directly in your scene, as times zero stops the velocity.)

I like to sort the X-Manger, to have a clean process order, which is most of the time not mandatory, but it helps to analyses the “flow” of information even better [see image]

All the best

Sassi

Dr. Sassi,

Thank you for the quick response and suggestions. Devils in the details. I missed that detail.

It works just as instructed.

Thanks again.
